Parent Cafés are a fun and interactive way to meet other parents to talk about parenting successes and challenges. Parent Cafés are rooted in the research based 5 Protective Factors that keep a family strong and include Being Strong and Flexible, Positive Social Connections, Everyone Needs Help Sometimes, Parenting is Part Natural and Part Learned and Communicating with children using love and respect. Parent Cafés can be held virtually or in-person and are based on a theme that is relevant to families with children birth to five years. At SPARK we also use The Basics, a set of videos based on child development, to start our meaningful conversations. For more information or to watch the videos in English and Spanish visit https://thebasicsboston.org/
